Setting up a website

Google Pagerank 2 - out of the sewers

Hi there,

It seems the past efforts to get this website indexed are starting to pay off.

Today I spotted IntroNiche has Pagerank 2.
Not a bad result for a website which has only been live for a month now.
We're not playing the Victoria & Albert Hall yet. But we're not hiding in the sewers either.

 Some things must have helped:

1) Regularily updating this very blog as a placeholder for IntroNiche.com -
probably better than an "under construction" page. Content rules.

IntroNiche almost a month live!

How time runs when you're having a good time!

Here are some of the major highlights:

  1. Live! Even though far from perfect, the site is finally good enough to put live. April 1.
  2. Amsterdam! IntroNiche presenting at the Next Web Conference Amsterdam.
Good feedback, new contacts and lots of drinks. April 3 & 4.

Grassroots email friends&family campaign for launch

How many people have I written emails to in Gmail?
The answer is 434.
Not a bad way to start a grassroots campaign. Here is how to:

Hosting company selected for the website

and the winner is: Fused Networks.

I was really impressed with the great pre-sales customer support. And the reviews they got on Hostjury.com. And it helps my web dev company uses them too!
That being said,  I'm even more impressed with the post-sales customer support.

Who knows, they might even be smart enough to explain me how to set up an email account in Outlook.

IntroNiche logo almost ready

It might be but a small step for the website yet it feels quite good to have a logo.

After a painstaking name selection process, involving lots of advice from friends & family & a lot of swearing at .com cybersquatters, I settled on the IntroNiche name which I had duely registered.

Following that, someone recommended me to use Logobee.com, a canadian logo design company.
I briefed them saying I wanted a professional yet warm logo, targeted at marketing professionals.

As told by my SEO agency ;-)

Search engine marketing: which agency to choose?

Nothing good ever comes for free. Neither does search engine optimisation.

  • from 5 to 10 thousand and more for an initial year of search engine optimising
  • from 200 a month to a nice percentage for your search engine advertising

How do you get the most for your money?
